Areas of Focus:

ADHD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, college/life transitions, complex trauma, depression, emotional regulation, family/cultural dynamics, LGBTQIA2S+, and relationship issues. I work with adults, young adults, and kids ages 7 and up.

Therapy Style:

I utilize a combination of approaches to work collaboratively with clients, including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Anti-racist/anti-oppressive practices, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gender Affirming Care, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Systems Theory, and Trauma Informed Care.

I follow the National Association of Social Workers' Code of Ethics in addition to the State of Oregon's Code of Ethics.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and strengths-based, and I will take a holistic approach when considering different aspects of your identity and the systems that affect you (i.e. friends, family, school, work, healthcare, etc.). I believe in the importance of intersectionality, social justice, and positive social change. I also have experience in the therapy room as both a clinician and a client. Having been on both sides, I have learned the importance of a compassionate approach, empathy for others, and to not be afraid of challenging the status quo.

Education:

I am registered as a Clinical Social Work Associate in Oregon. I hold a Masters of Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Oregon. I am currently under the supervision by Gene Obersinner, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker approved supervisor in the state of Oregon.
